“Don’t wait until everything is just right.
It will never be perfect. There will always be challenges, obstacles and less than perfect conditions.
So what. Get started now. With each step you take, you will grow stronger and stronger,
more and more skilled, more and more self-confident and more and more successful.”

The Journey: Volume I Number 2
Taking the First Step
That quote was on the top of my Facebook newsfeed this morning. Even though I’ve been trying to limit my time online these days, I am SO glad that I did just so that I could read that little reminder. Every once in awhile I feel like God clunks me on the head with messages like this. I’ve been blaming Black Friday for bringing a black cloud over my house, because I get so frustrated when our culture turns a holiday that should be spent embracing friends and family and NOT feeding our need to compulsively do the opposite. However, I was in a rut even before that day. I somehow lost energy, lost motivation, and felt insecure too insecure to blog. I questioned whether it was important enough to discuss, to private to share, or if anyone would actually read it. So I would allow myself to get distracted and work on other things.
Now is not the time to question myself. It will never be perfect, because there is no such thing.
I am reminding myself that I declared this as a journey and not a destination, so it is time to start walking again.
Come join me!
